You don't want to be caught driving uninsured in Tennessee. The state of Tennessee has an Uninsured Motorist Law. If an uninsured motorist is caught driving uninsured they could have their vehicle towed and face serious fines. Insurance companies are now reporting to the state of Tennessee and alerting the DMV clerks weather someone is insured or uninsured. So, it is the law to have liability insurance in the state of Tennessee.
